What is Bolt Escape Games Dublin?
Bolt Escape Games Dublin is a fun packed game suited for groups of between 2 - 14 people. Your team is locked in one of our rooms (Casino Heist & Dressing Room Drama) and the target is to escape within 60 minutes. You will only complete the challenge by working with your team and trying to decipher puzzles, find keys and discover codes. It is an extremely fun and challenging activity for people of all ages and abilities.
Who can play?
Our games are designed for a multitude of different groups. You can play with friends, work colleagues, team mates, tourists, parties and couples. We can cater for Stag/Hen parties, school tours and Christmas parties. Any groups who are looking for an activity should book online or send on an e-mail. We cater for all types of groups so if you are questioning whether the game will suit you, give us a call and we can help you out.
There is no age limit or restriction to our games, but it may be more difficult for those under 12 to fully appreciate the games, however they could be wonderful searchers for a group as they work at solving other puzzles.
How many people can play per team?
Our games are designed for groups of between 2 - 6/8 people. You will have just as much fun no matter what size group you have.
What skills do I need?
You do not need any specific knowledge coming into the game. You will be required to use your logic and a mixture of you communication and listening skills in order to succeed. Remember to think outside the box and work together. There is no requirement for players to be physically strong and you do not need to break any of the items in the rooms!!! If you break an item you will be liable for the cost of its' replacement.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. There is no physical activity required to complete the game, it just requires mental activity.
How long does a game take?
We recommend that you arrive ten minutes before your booking time. The full experience will last a maximum of 80 minutes, possibly less. We will give your team a quick debrief in advance of the game and will discuss your experience afterwards. We welcome any feedback.
When can I play?
We are open six days a week. We are closed on Tuesday. We offer games midweek at 14:00, 15:30, 17:00, 18:30, 20:00 & 21:30. We offer an additional game at 12:30 on Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays.
How much does it Cost?
The price depends on the number of players in your group
- 2 player games - €56 (€28 per person)
- 3 player games - €75 (€25 per person)
- 4 player games - €80 (€20 per person)
- 5 player games - €90 (€18 per person)
- 6 player games - €96 (€16 per person)
- 7 player games - €105 (€15 per person)
- 8 player games - €112 (€14 per person)
We can also offer reduced rates for larger group bookings and we will do our best to accommodate all groups. Just send on an e-mail.
How do I book a game?
Your best option is to book using our online booking page. However, there are some other options. You can book by contacting us by phone (087-4662311). You can also walk in off the street but please be forewarned as your required time slot may be fully booked.
How do I change a booking?
Changes can be made to your booking by e-mailing us firstname.lastname@example.org and hopefully we can accommodate your request. We ask that you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice if you are looking to change or cancel your booking arrangements.
We offer refunds in the form of vouchers which can be used against the value of a game online. Refunds will only be provided in certain circumstances.
How do I get to Bolt Escape Games Dublin?
Our venue is located on North Brunswick Street in Smithfield, very close to Stoneybatter village. See map on Contact Us page. We are a short walk from Dublin City Centre and are just around the corner from Smithfield Square. There is plenty of on street parking surrounding our venue or you can travel using public transport, with further information below.
We are a short walk from the LUAS red line stops at both Museum or Smithfield.
You can use Dublin Bus www.dublinbus.ie and we are located very close to the following routes and stops;
- 37, 39 and 70 @ Stoneybatter/Brunswick Street
- 83 @ Church Street/Brunswick Street
- 145, 25, 26, 51, 66, 67, 69 and 79 @ Arran Quay/Ocean House
Am I safe?
Yes, you are completely safe for the duration of the game. While you are entering into the somewhat unknown in the game, there are no scary elements to our games at all. Your game will also be monitored by staff throughout the experience and if you get stuck at a point in the game, they may be nice enough to offer a clue.
I am Claustrophobic, can I still play?
Yes, you should have no problem at all in playing. There is an emergency key to leave the game at any stage if you wish (or if the pressure becomes too much as the clock ticks down!)
How can I pay?
You will be directed to pay online at the booking stage. Walk In's can pay by cash at the venue, where we also have facility to accept debit/credit card. Bank transfers may be accepted for large groups.
